The Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas said that schools reopening in scorching heat have become a nightmare for parents. These are the hot days for the children to go schools, which are why he announced to give summer vacations 2021 in Punjab Pakistan. On June 11, 2021, the Punjab education minister said that the summer vacation dates will be announced within 2 weeks for the provincial educational institutes. Now, he announced that Punjab government is considering giving summer holidays from July 2nd till August 2nd, 2021. The final decision will be taken after NCOC meeting.

In the press conference, the education minister said that the government knows the problems, which children are facing due to the hot weather. That’s why the authorities will act according to the weather and children situation and provide summer holidays for a month.
He said that Punjab government has already changed the schools timings for all the private and public schools due to the extreme hot weather condition. In Punjab, the school timings are 7:00 am to 11:30 am. School exams are also taking according to this timing.

No Summer Vacations 2021 by Private Schools
On Saturday, June 26, 2021, All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) declared that they will not announce summer holidays this year to the educational institutes in all across the Pakistan. APPSF President Kashif Mirza announced that the private schools will remain open as per schedule timings 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
He said that “the students will come to schools in casual dresses instead of uniform”. The president said that casual dress decision is taken due to extreme weather condition. All the schools have already been reopened by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) and now APPSF has announced to cancel the summer holidays this year in all across the Pakistan.
